IAP is the largest and most representative association of Pediatricians in India as compared with other organizations of medical specialities that are often fragmented and segmented. This indicates the unity that the association has been able to maintain among its members over the past 57 years.
One of the major activities undertaken by the IAP since its inception has been to organize Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs by holding conferences, symposia, lectures and other meets all over the country.
Learn More About IAP IAP Madhya Kerala Branch is a dynamic collective of pediatricians serving the central regions of Kerala, including Angamaly, Aluva, Perumbavoor, North Paravur and Narakkal. It was founded in 1996 with 22 members and has grown into a strong network of 75 dedicated pediatricians. Since its inception the branch has emerged as one of the most active and respected branches of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), earning multiple recognitions including “Best Branch” and “Best Branch President” awards.
The branch has produced several leaders at the state and national levels of IAP and has consistently contributed to academic excellence and organizational leadership. It has successfully hosted numerous subspecialty conferences and two major scientific events such as State Pedicon 2005 and South Pedicon 2011.
With limited numbers but limitless determination, the branch stands united in proudly taking up the challenge of hosting the upcoming state conference, PEDICON KERALA 2026, a conference of excellence, innovation, and national impact, reflecting the true spirit of IAP service and leadership.
